So, you’ve decided to take the next step in your Guiding journey to develop your leadership skills or become a Unit Leader…bravo!

Leadership Qualification Training is now a one-day course, which we are bringing to you in-person this August.

This training is a requirement to complete the Leadership Qualification. In addition to putting into practice all the theory you’ve learned so far, you'll have the opportunity to network with other Leaders in Training from across Victoria, share your ideas, and ask questions.

Important: please note registrations for this event are through the Girl Guides Learning platform. Please see instructions below on how to register.

WHEN | Saturday 15 August 9 am – 4 pm

WHERE | Lingbogol Girl Guides Campsite

Please bring the following with you on the day;

• Your lunch and snacks for the day

• A Term program from your Unit

Registration Process

1. Log in to Girl Guides Learning (GGL) 
2. From the ‘home page’, click ‘Browse Catalogue” 
3. From the ‘Category’ menu, click ‘National ALQP Activities’ 
4. Select ‘Leadership Qualification (LQ) Activities’ 
5. In the list of LQ activities, look for ‘LQ National Face to Face/Virtual Training’ with ‘In Person in Victoria’ listed below the title.
6. Click ‘Choose Session’
7. Click ‘Enrol’
8. Go back to for ‘LQ National Face to Face/Virtual Training’ with ‘In-Person in Victoria’ and click on the blue ‘more information’.
9. There is a link in bullet point 2 – requesting you to complete a pre-activity questionnaire. Click on the link and complete the questionnaire. This information is vital for the Trainers preparation. Your enrolment will not be confirmed until this questionnaire is completed.

Pre-requisites include the following Girl Guides Learning activities (must be completed before the closing date for registration):

• Child Safe Child Friendly Adults in Guiding
• Child Safe Child Friendly Leaders & Managers
• Guiding Orientation
• Facilitating the Girl Experience
• Leadership in the Unit
• Girl Recognition System
• Risk Awareness

Checking you have Enrolled

1. Go to your ‘Learning Centre’ (access on the left side menu) 
2. In your ‘Current’ tab – you’ll see the LQ activity – with a green ‘pending approval’ note. 
3. Your enrolment has been sent to GGV’s GGL Admin Team to confirm you have  completed the mandatory Girl Guides Learning (GGL) online activities. 
4. If all is completed, you’ll receive an email from GGL to confirm your enrolment has been approved. 
5. If all is not completed, you’ll receive an email from GGL to decline your enrolment,  and you’ll be directed back to GGL to complete any outstanding activities, and  following that, you can re-enrol.
