Adult Canoeing Day - Lilydale Lake
Are you keen for a paddle without the responsibility of looking after youth members? Whether you are new to canoeing or keen to clock up some hours on the water, come and join us for a social get together.

There will be Canoe Team staff available on the day to assist with teaching theory, and to assess or reassess your canoeing skills and qualifications as required.

Location: Lilydale Lake. We will meet at the boat ramp.

Timing: Canoeing will take place in groups of 10 for two hour sessions, with the first session commencing at 10.00 am. Please indicate below which session (morning, midday, or afternoon) suits you best. Please note that this is a preference only. You will be contacted with your exact start and finish time once registrations have closed.

Please contact the Leader in Charge if you would like to be in a session with another adult participant.

Please wear:
- long shorts or yoga pants
- a sun-smart shirt, preferably with a collar and long sleeves
- bathers/swimsuit under your clothing
- lace-up shoes (that can get wet) or closed toed water shoes
- a wide-brimmed hat

You will be asked to tie back long hair, and remove any jewelry or watches. You will be supplied with a life jacket.

Please bring:
- full drink bottle
- snacks
- sunscreen
- towel
- change of clothes (for after your session on the water)

A CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES VICTORIA
(As at October 2011)
  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Victoria, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
You may apply for special consideration in exceptional circumstances. Such requests should be addressed to the Database Manager at Girl Guides Victoria.
