Are you a Grade 6 - 8 student with an interest in learning about building and coding robots?

Girl Guides Victoria is excited to launch RoboGuides, a new and exciting opportunity for Guides in Grade 6 - 8. 
Over a term, RoboGuides will learn to build and code VEX IQ robots, and will work in teams to solve problems and create solutions, culminating with a final showcase to demonstrate their new skills! 
A limited number of spots are available for this program, so get in quick!

Who: Guides in Grades 6 - 8 (ages 11 - 14yrs). 

Where: The program will be held at Mitcham Guide Hall, with some meetings to be held online. 

When: 16 July - 10 September. 
Complete schedule details contained within the program booklet, including online sessions. 
It is expected that registrants attend all sessions. No refunds will be given for missed sessions, just like regular Unit attendance. 
Access details for the online sessions will be provided to registrants close to program commencement. 

Cost:
Current Girl Guides Victoria members - $150
Financial assistance is available for a limited number of current GGV members.

How to register: 
- If you are a GGV member, log in to your Guides profile, then click the orange 'Register Myself' button below, and select your registration type.
- You will be presented with a series of additional questions which need to be answered. Please save after answering.
- Youth members will need to review their health details. Save if you make any changes.
- For payment, click the orange 'Proceed to checkout' button at the bottom of this page to pay. Payment is required to secure your registration.

A CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES VICTORIA
(As at October 2011)
  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Victoria, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
You may apply for special consideration in exceptional circumstances. Such requests should be addressed to the Database Manager at Girl Guides Victoria.
