Creating Curiosity: Expanding Know-How in Mallee Region

Creating Curiosity: Expanding Know-How in Mallee Region
This workshop is for Leaders, Unit Helpers, Junior Leaders seeking to explore and share “creating curiosity” through STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics) related activities specially designed for Guides.

Participants will be led through a variety of STEM-related activities to take back to their Units. This workshop will be run by Guide Leaders who have experience and/or background in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Activities offered will be different to what is currently being offered in Victorian schools.

Course participants will gain:
- an understanding of what STEM is;
- activities to carry out with Guides in a Unit setting, and the background discussions/knowledge for each activity; and
- how to informally incorporate curiosity about the world around us in everyday Guide activities.

BYO lunch. Morning tea will be provided.
