Low Ropes Instructor Training (March)
The Low Ropes course at Britannia Park Guide Campsite is a team building activity which brings joy and excitement to Girl Guides and Leaders. We rely on the generous support of our volunteers to help facilitate and instruct this activity.

Training is open to any adult member of Girl Guides Victoria. No previous experience is required, however participants must be comfortable climbing ladders. 

Training will cover all aspects of running Low Ropes including:
- Set up and pack down
- Risk Management
- Running the activity for small groups

Please BYO lunch, and wear closed toed shoes with long hair tied back. Meet at Canobbio Hall, which has the closest toilets.

Once training is completed, qualified Low Ropes Instructors will be required to instruct 2-3 sessions a year for Girl Guide groups attending Britannia Park. Where possible, instructing will be conducted in pairs.

To register, make sure you're logged into the Girl Guides Victoria website as yourself to be able to click the orange 'Register Myself' button. Provide your emergency contact details, and click 'Save'. Please ensure you also click through the Checkout and contact us if you do not receive a confirmation email.

A CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES VICTORIA
(As at October 2011)
  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Victoria, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
You may apply for special consideration in exceptional circumstances. Such requests should be addressed to the Database Manager at Girl Guides Victoria.
