Conduct an Expedition Leader Training - March 2024
Training for Leaders and Managers who are wanting to work towards the Conduct an Expedition Qualification. 

WHO | Qualified Unit Leaders, Outdoor Leaders, and Managers. 
WHEN | Saturday March 23 9:30am  - Sunday March 24 3:00pm
ACCOMMODATION Registrants have the option to arrive on the Friday night, from 6pm onwards. 
WHERE | Tynong North Girl Guide Campsite, Tynong North (555 Tynong North Rd)
Please note that there are no nearby public transport options for this venue. Adequate onsite parking is available. 

The day will provide training to cover the following: 
- Planning an expedition
- Navigation
- Risk Management & Being Safe in the bush
- Menu planning and lightweight cooking
- Equipment selection
- Budgeting
- Campsite Management
- First Aid and hike hygiene

Training will be a full day of hands on experience. Lunch will be cooked by participants on lightweight stoves.

A kit list and further information will be distributed in the lead up to the training.

A CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES VICTORIA
(As at October 2011)
  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Victoria, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
You may apply for special consideration in exceptional circumstances. Such requests should be addressed to the Database Manager at Girl Guides Victoria.
