Guides Online: Guiding Traditions
These Virtual Girl Guide Meetings are especially for our youth members who are unable to attend their regular in-person Girl Guide meeting. At each virtual meeting, Girl Guides will get to meet with an expert in our community on Zoom and work towards a challenge badge!

This Virtual Meeting is on Wednesday 1 December for Guides aged 5-17 as an alternative to attending their regular Unit Meeting.

We will be learning more about Guiding Traditions, and exploring all the things that make Guiding unique. Some of the challenges will go towards earning your Explore a Challenge Guiding badge!
- Learn how to lay and light a campfire
- Discover how Girl Guides first started... over 100 years ago!
- Learn about swap badges and camp blankets
- Explore the symbols and traditions of Guiding
- Understand global Guiding and WAGGG (the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts)

It will be just like a regular Girl Guide meeting, with fun activities and a chance to connect, except it will be through your device (computer/laptop/tablet/phone etc.) using Zoom.

Register online by 11.59 on the night Tuesday night before. Zoom details will be emailed to registered participants once registrations close.

A CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES VICTORIA
(As at October 2011)
  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Victoria, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
You may apply for special consideration in exceptional circumstances. Such requests should be addressed to the Database Manager at Girl Guides Victoria.
