Yarra Ranges Camp @ Clifford Park - Blacksmithing
An overnight camp where Girl Guides from Yarra Ranges District will get the opportunity to learn some basic welding, blacksmithing, and mechanics skills... and get to take their creations home!

This camping opportunity is for Girl Guides from Yarra Ranges District aged 10-14.

Who will we be camping with?
This is a joint camp with Guides and Scouts. The Yarra Ranges District Girl Guides will be camping on their own campsite (including for meals) and joining in with the Clifford Park Patrol Activities team and other Scout groups for activities.

What will we be doing? 
We will be starting at 8am and setting up our tents and campsite. Then it’s time to try our hand at some new skills! While we have our own campsite, we will be joining with the Scouts at this event to learn some new skills by experienced and qualified instructors. Guides will get to try their hand an making different creations using welding, blacksmithing, and mechanics. There will also be time for more fun with a night activity. 

What do we bring? 
- Wear Girl Guide uniform and closed in shoes to camp
- Change of clothes
- Warm sleepwear 
- Sleeping bag 
- Camp mat 
- Dilly bag with plates, bowls, and cutlery 
- Strong footwear (preferably leather shoes or boots)
- Boiler suit or old long pants
- Long sleeved jumper or windcheater 
- Lunch box with morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for Saturday

Cost :
$35 – includes accommodation; badge; Saturday dinner and supper; all food Sunday; and activities and materials for the creations you will be making and taking home.

To register, make sure you're logged in as the Girl Guide or Volunteer attending this event. Click the orange 'Register Myself' button below, and select your registration type. You will be presented with a series of additional questions. Please save after answering. Youth members will need to review their health details. Save if you make any changes. Finally, for payment, click the orange 'Proceed to checkout' button at the bottom of this page to pay/confirm your registration. CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES VICTORIA

  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Victoria, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
You may apply for special consideration in exceptional circumstances. Such requests should be addressed to the Database Manager at Girl Guides Victoria.
