Yarra Ranges Camp @ Clifford Park - Electronics
A weekend camp where Girl Guides from Yarra Ranges District will have the opportunity to learn some basic electronic skills while making their own take-home project! Guides will also experience outdoor camping, including cooking outdoors and campcraft.

This camping opportunity is for Girl Guides from Yarra Ranges District aged 10-14.

Please note that this is the same camp that was cancelled in July due to COVID restrictions. The information remains the same, though please note the new date: Saturday 16  - Sunday 17 October.

Who will we be camping with?
This is a joint camp with Guides and Scouts. The Yarra Ranges District Girl Guides will be camping together on their own campsite (including for meals) and will be joining in with the Clifford Park Patrol Activities team and other Scout groups for activities.

What will we be doing? 
On Friday night we will set up our campsite, have a campfire, and enjoy getting to know each other. On Saturday morning, we will cook our breakfast. We will then participate in a Wide Game before heading off to try our hand at some new skills in electronics. We will be making our own project to take home. While we have our own campsite, we will be joining with the Scouts at this event for the electronic projects to learn some new skills by experienced and qualified instructors. There will also be time for more fun with camp cooking for dinner and a fun night activity. Sunday we will strike camp and continue extending our electronics skills.  

What do we bring? 
A more detailed kit list is included in the Information Booklet. 
- Wear Girl Guide uniform and closed in shoes to camp
- BYO Friday night dinner
- Change of clothes
- Warm pyjamas 
- Sleeping bag
- Camp mat
- Dilly bag (plate bag) with plates, bowls and cutlery
- Strong footwear (preferably leather shoes or boots)
- long sleeved jumper/windcheater
- two pieces of fruit to share

Cost:
$60 - includes accommodation, badge, all food on Saturday and Sunday, activities (including materials for electronic project)

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EVENTS RUN BY GIRL GUIDES VICTORIA

  • If the event is cancelled by Girl Guides Victoria, a full refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event at least one month prior to the closing date for applications, a 90% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event less than one month before the closing date for applications, a 50% refund will be given.
  • If you withdraw from the event after the closing date for applications, no refund will be given.
You may apply for special consideration in exceptional circumstances. Such requests should be addressed to the Database Manager at Girl Guides Victoria.
